Libby Larsen (born December 24, 1950) is a classical music composer who resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Born in Wilmington, Delaware, she grew up in Minnesota and received her education at the University of Minnesota. Among her works is the opera Frankenstein: The Modern Prometheus. In 1973, she became one of the founding members of the Minnesota Composers Forum, later renamed the American Composers Forum.
Larson has written a piece entitled "Bach 358" as a commissioned work for the Barlow Bradford Musical endownment at Brigham Young Univeristy.[1]
